Besides announcing the upcoming tournament, Red Bull also revealed three teams that have received direct invitations to the event on social media.
Red Bull Home Ground first took place in 2021 and has since become a special event that is now held annually. After the introduction of the VCT partner league, Red Bull Home Ground is an official off-season competition that provides fans with the excitement they crave during the lull between seasons.
Eight teams will participate in Red Bull Home Ground #5. Three of them received direct invitations, namely: Fnatic , Focus, and Karmine Corp . According to Liquipedia, the remaining five participants will be determined through qualification. One team will represent the EMEA region, another the NA region, one from APAC, and two teams will advance through the Play-in.
Red Bull Home Ground #5 is scheduled to take place from November 20-23. The event will be held in BerLIN at Arena BerLIN . The prize pool amount is still unknown, but the previous tournament had a prize pool of $100,000.
