G2 Gozen continues to dominate - The team wins the second stage of VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA

Yesterday, after three intense weeks, the second stage of the regular competitions VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA Stage 2 concluded. Despite the event hosting many well-known and strong teams, the winner for the second time was the team  G2 Gozen , which has been dominating its region for four consecutive years.

It's worth noting that VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA Stage 2 took place from May 24 to June 17, 2024, in an online format. The event saw participation from 10 teams, eight of which received direct invitations following their results in Stage 1, while two more qualified through the Contenders S1 qualifications. The tournament was divided into two stages, group and playoffs, with the final match concluding yesterday, and the renowned team  G2 Gozen  emerging as the champion.

In the tournament’s grand final, the team faced Falcons Vega, and despite the strengths of the teams, the match turned out to be completely one-sided.  G2 Gozen  confidently defeated their opponents on three maps: Breeze 13-11, Split 13-9, Lotus 13-8, thereby becoming the tournament champions. The team received $12,846, a direct invitation to the third stage of the competition, and 90 EMEA Points, which are necessary for qualifying for the world championship.

It is still unknown when the VCT 2024: Game Changers EMEA Stage 2 will start, but considering the results of the first two stages, it can be assumed that G2 Gozen will once again display incredible play and most likely win for the third time.
