Boostio backs up his words - 100 Thieves defeat EG and secure the last playoff spot in Americas Stage 2

Yesterday marked the end of another week in the VCT 2024 Americas Stage 2, which revealed the last participant of the playoff stage.

In the day’s only match, a clash between  Evil Geniuses  and  100 Thieves  was awaited. For both teams, this match was pivotal as the former captain of the 'Geniuses' now plays for the 'Thieves.' Additionally, both teams were close to the playoff stage and were nearly at equal positions in the rankings. After three maps, Lotus 13-10, Bind 10-13, Ascent 13-7,  100 Thieves  clinched victory and took the last slot in the VCT 2024 Americas Stage 2 playoffs.

Interestingly, before the match, Kelden ' Boostio ' Pupello expressed his thoughts about the upcoming opponents on his social networks. He stated that ' potter and jawgemo are my oldest teammates and friends, so the honor of destroying their dreams about Champions fills my heart with satisfaction.' As it turned out, Kelden backed his words, and the reigning world champions  Evil Geniuses  will not make it to the upcoming tournament.

The Valorant Champions Tour 2024: Americas League - Stage 2 is taking place from June 22 to July 21, 2024, in a LAN format at the Riot Games Arena. Eleven partner teams are competing for three direct invitations to the upcoming world championship, as well as Americas Points, which are also necessary for championship qualification.
