MPL Malaysia confirms playoff plans as six teams chase two M8 Main Stage berths

MPL Malaysia Season 18 will conclude at Stadium Juara in Kuala Lumpur from October 28 to November 1, with six teams competing for the national championship and two direct places at the M8 World Championship Main Stage.

MOONTON outlined the postseason plans on October 20, following the regular season’s conclusion two days earlier.

Selangor Red Giants and Team Rey earn a shorter route

Selangor Red Giants and Team Rey secured the top two seeds and will enter directly in the upper-bracket semifinals. Team Vamos , Invictus Gaming , Bigetron MY by VIT and Team Flash will begin in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.

That advantage leaves Selangor Red Giants and Team Rey one round closer to the decisive matches, while the other four contenders must negotiate an additional series.

The five-day competition concludes with the season finale on November 1. Malaysia’s representatives will then prepare for M8, whose finals take place in Istanbul in January 2027.

Grand final tickets sell out

MOONTON reported that grand final tickets sold out within an hour of release. The postseason will also introduce Pesta Juara, a night-market-inspired festival at the venue, alongside nationwide final watch parties under the Mamak Juara initiative.
