Mobile Legends launches Season 42 with major anniversary update

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has launched Season 42 alongside a major anniversary update featuring hero reworks, balance changes, map improvements, and several new gameplay and interface features.

Masha and Bruno received major updates, while numerous other heroes were buffed, nerfed, or reworked as part of the patch.

The update also introduced changes to Sanctuary Island and several core game systems.

General gameplay changes

Rewards for defeating certain jungle monsters have been reduced, while the economic deficit threshold required to activate team comeback bonuses for hero kills has been lowered.

Enhanced basic attacks can now damage towers and trigger health regeneration effects.

MOONTON also updated control settings, improved target selection during basic attack pursuit, and added landing indicators for dash abilities that cross terrain.

Sanctuary Island received upgraded visual effects, while new map objects are scheduled to arrive on September 28.

The update also introduced customizable button layouts, improvements to Training Mode, a Multiplayer Training Camp, Super Likes, Like History, and a new Like Shop containing skins and exclusive banners.

Major hero balance changes

Aulus, Argus, Aldous, Lukas, Classic Akai, Khaleed, Cici, Alpha, Kagura, Edith, Karina, and Kaja received buffs.

Classic Zilong, Melissa, Miya, Hanabi, Yi Sun -Shin, and Paquito were nerfed.

Odette, Sun , Masha, Kadita, and Hylos received broader gameplay adjustments or reworks.

Odette can now move freely while using her ultimate, although her movement speed is reduced.

Masha's revised kit improves her synergy with other heroes while reducing some of her damage and ability frequency.

The update officially marks the beginning of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Season 42.
