Natus Vincere moved level with Team Liquid ID at the top of MPL Indonesia Season 18 after sweeping RRQ Hoshi , while ONIC defeated EVOS and Alter Ego handed Bigetron by vitality a second consecutive defeat.
The results significantly tightened the race among Indonesia's leading teams.
NAVI continued their excellent regular-season form with a clean sweep over RRQ Hoshi .
The victory improved Natus Vincere to 6–2 with 18 points and a +6 game differential.
That leaves NAVI level with Team Liquid ID on points, trailing the leaders only through game differential.
RRQ Hoshi dropped to 2–5 and remained on six points.
ONIC 2:0 EVOS
ONIC returned to winning ways with a sweep over EVOS.
The result improved ONIC to 3–4 with nine points and a +1 game differential.
EVOS now hold the same 3–4 series record but sit behind ONIC with a -2 differential.
Both teams remain positioned in the middle of the regular-season standings.
Bigetron by vitality 0:2 Alter Ego
Bigetron's difficult weekend continued.
After beginning the season with five consecutive victories, Bigetron lost 2:1 to EVOS on September 5.
Alter Ego then handed them an even more decisive defeat one day later.
The 2:0 sweep improved Alter Ego to 5–2 with 15 points and a +7 game differential, moving them ahead of Bigetron into third place.
Bigetron also sit at 5–2 and 15 points, but their game differential fell to +4.
Top four suddenly tighten
What had looked like a two-team race has quickly become much less predictable.
Team Liquid ID and NAVI now sit level on 18 points, while Alter Ego and Bigetron remain only three points behind.
For Bigetron, the sudden back-to-back defeats are particularly striking after their perfect 5–0 opening to the season.
