MSC 2025 Day 3 Results: Team Liquid PH Relegates ONIC to the Lower Bracket
The third day of MSC 2025 in Riyadh was a battleground for four life-or-death battles, featuring high intensity and major upsets. From reverse sweeps to dramatic comebacks, every match came down to Game 3.
Indonesian representative ONIC was relegated to the lower bracket after losing to Team Liquid PH. Two teams were eliminated from the tournament, while the other four advanced to the Knockout phase with mental fortitude and momentum.
MSC 2025 Day 3 Results:
Mythic Seal (MYTH) rebounded from a previous defeat to record their biggest win to date. Facing defending champions Selangor Red Giants (SRG) , the Myanmar team displayed incredible determination and discipline.
SRG opened the match with total dominance and complete objective control. However, MYTH remained calm and managed to steal the victory in the 21st minute. The second game was again a tight affair, but this time SRG was sharper and closed out the match with a victory. In the deciding Game 3, MYTH displayed their highest level of play—neat rotations, sharp teamfights, and minimal execution. They eliminated the champions and made history as the first Myanmar team to reach the top 8 of the MSC.
ONIC ID vs Team Liquid PH (1–2): ONIC Again Defeated by Team PH
Team Liquid PH (TLPH) defeated ONIC Indonesia (ONIC) in a Clash of Champions match. ONIC dominated the first game with a brilliant comeback, closing the match with a straight push. The second game was aggressive, but TLPH turned the tables with crucial moves by OHEB and KarlTzy , creating momentum for a wipeout to level the score.
Game three was all TLPH's game. They built a 10,000 gold lead and shut down all map access for ONIC. With relentless pressure, TLPH secured a reverse sweep and secured their spot in the Knockout Stage. ONIC now must await the outcome of the remaining matches to maintain their championship hopes.
CFU Gaming vs Ultra Legends (2–1): Consistency Beats Variety
CFU Gaming (Cambodia) ended Ultra Legends ' (ULL) run with a solid performance and effective execution. The first game was a close contest, but CFU secured the victory through late-game coordination. ULL responded in Game 2 with a quick snowball, led by Throwboy and Quanok .
However, in Game 3, CFU returned to their usual style. Their disciplined play and solid map control allowed them to completely thwart ULL's strategy. CFU survived and advanced to the next phase, while ULL became the first team eliminated from MSC 2025.
Virtus.pro vs SCCP (2–1): Wild Card King's Surprise Run Continues
Virtus.pro (VP) lived up to their reputation as a comeback team. After losing Game 1 to a dominant Corinthians Esports (SCCP) , VP rebounded in Game 2 with a more structured draft and flawless teamfight execution.
In Game 3, SCCP held the lead and maintained the tempo. However, one crucial moment changed everything—VP capitalized on SCCP's mistake in a crucial teamfight, seizing the momentum and immediately eliminating the Brazilian team's chances. With this victory, VP continued their rise as the biggest threat in the Wild Card path.
