ONIC PH sweep ONIC ID to win Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC Challenge Finals

The M6 World Champions proved they are the better ONIC squad as they won the first major MLBB tournament of 2025.

ONIC Philippines once again proved themselves superior to their Indonesian ONIC counterparts in a 4-0 sweep in the grand finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC - Challenge Finals. King “K1ngkong” Perez and his team cleanly swept ONIC to take home the $65,000 grand prize and the first major MLBB trophy of the year.

While the grand finals went smoothly for the reigning MLBB world champions, they did face a bit of a hurdle to reach the championship round. ONIC PH only finished as the second seed of Group A with a 4-1 record, which earned them an upper bracket quarterfinals start in the Playoffs.

RRQ Hoshi managed to win the first game of their series versus ONIC PH, but the reigning world champions secured the 2-1 reverse sweep to advance to the upper bracket semifinals. But after that three-game series, ONIC PH didn't drop a single game at all versus Team Falcons PH and Team Liquid ID.

The reverse happened to ONIC ID as they were always on the brink of losing the series before eventually finding a way to qualify. ONIC ID also finished as the second seed over in Group B with a 3-2 record and almost got eliminated by Bigetron Esports in the upper bracket quarterfinals before beating them 2-1.

However, ONIC ID lost 2-0 to Team Liquid ID in the next round and got dropped to the lower bracket. After that, they always faced a do-or-die situation and somehow pulled through for the win. ONIC ID were down one game before pulling off the 2-1 reverse sweep against Team Falcons PH . They then got their revenge against Team Liquid ID in a hard-fought 3-2 victory after coming back from a 2-1 disadvantage.

It became apparent that the two ONIC teams had a stark difference in the way they played as the Indonesian team had to claw their way back to the top while their opponent always stayed on top of their opposition. However, ONIC ID's charm didn't work against their Filipino counterparts as they ONIC PH forced them to bow out of the series as runner-up.

All six teams that qualified for the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC - Challenge Finals will continue their journey in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters 2025 in April, with ONIC PH leading the way for APAC.
