[MPL ID S14] How Saint De Lucaz Controls the Ego of Team Liquid ID's Young Players
Continuing the positive trend, Team Liquid ID picked up their second win when they met Rebellion Esports in the continuation of the MPL ID S14 week 2 match which has now ended.
Colored by various tauntings that occur, AeronShikii faces Audycs before the fight begins, as a symbol of dominance between the two.
Having to admit the superiority of The Cavalry, Banteng Biru went home with their heads bowed, because they were hit hard by the game of Favian, AeronShikii and also Widy who were the mainstays.
With the enthusiasm of youth still burning, Team Liquid ID's head coach, Saint De Lucaz, certainly has his own way to stem this.
How Saint De Lucaz Controls the Ego of Team Liquid ID's Young Players in MPL ID S14
RevivaLTV got the chance to hear first-hand the answer from Saint De Lucaz, the head coach of Team Liquid ID, about how to control the egos of young players who are still fiery, and sometimes need to be contained on (08/18/2024).
The arrival of three young players promoted from Team Liquid Academy in MDL, Saint De Lucaz admitted that the enthusiasm shown by them was very high.
However, sometimes, this is also followed by the emergence of star egos, which if left unchecked can have a negative impact on the continuity of the team and also the individual player.
There are many cases where a player's career can be dimmed, due to his uncontrollable ego. So, the figure of the coach becomes one of the controls for them, so that their game remains consistent.
Saint De Lucaz himself admitted that he implemented physical punishment as a disciplinary measure against his students at Team Liquid ID.
Not only that, he also applies his own punishment, in order to create a positive climate. In addition, Saint De Lucaz also added, this is not implemented without reason.
The main thing is to remind all players of their actions which could have a negative impact on the image of the team and also on their individuals.
"If I'm handling them, maybe I'll tell them to do push-ups. Especially if they do something strange, like doing something stupid, or they know it's wrong, but they still do it, there's a punishment for that.
"So that they can always remember, the impact of the mistakes they make will get a comparable punishment, so in the future they don't do the same thing," said the head coach of Team Liquid ID.
Of course, with this, all players have control over the actions they will take, thanks to the special treatment applied by Saint De Lucaz. The more disciplined a player is, the more it can bring them, and also Team Liquid ID to a higher ladder of success. Or even, later win MPL ID S14 this time.
