[MPL ID S14] RRQ Skylar Becomes a Senior Player, Is He Burdened?

As the only senior player in RRQ, Skylar shared his thoughts on the roster in MPL ID S14

In the world of Mobile Legends Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID), changes in team rosters are often the main focus of fans and analysts.

One of the most interesting moments in the S14 season was RRQ's decision to rely on young players rather than senior players who have been their mainstay.

Despite the changes in RRQ's roster which were dominated by new players, they remained confident in facing the MPL ID S14 matches.

Skylar , as the only senior player still on the RRQ roster, gave his response to this change.

In a recent interview on Saturday (11/08/2024), Skylar shared his thoughts on the impact of this change, both in terms of emotion and gameplay.

When asked about his feelings after the absence of senior players in the RRQ team, Skylar explained that he did not feel any additional burden. On the contrary, he felt that the absence of seniors actually helped him grow more mature.

"Maybe there is no burden, maybe I am more mature since there are no seniors, so I can educate them (new players)," he said.

This shows that Skylar sees this change as an opportunity to take on a leadership role and help young players in their development.

Regarding the difference in gameplay after this change, Skylar admitted that there were adjustments that had to be made, especially with the new assassin meta. "Yes, maybe it's different, because there is an assassin meta, I have to change my gameplay too," explained Skylar .

This indicates that while the team may be adapting to new players, Skylar and his teammates must also adjust their strategies to stay competitive.

Amidst the major changes in RRQ's roster and team dynamics, Skylar explained the reasons behind his choice to continue his career with the team that has shaped most of his professional journey.

Skylar revealed that one of the main reasons he decided to stay with RRQ was the encouragement and belief from his teammates. "I made a decision, I'm still continuing and the kids also believe that I can do it," he said.

In addition to support from the team, Skylar also emphasized that his desire to continue to develop and compete is the main reason why he chose to stay at RRQ. "Because I still want to improve, I still want to fight actually," explained Skylar .

The motivation to continue to improve his abilities and fight in competitions is the main driver for him to remain committed to the team.
