Fifteen champions remain unpicked in tier-one LoL ahead of Worlds Swiss stage

Fifteen of League of Legends’ 173 champions had not been picked in tier-one competition during 2026 heading into the Worlds Swiss stage, according to a Sheep Esports analysis using Games of Legends data.

The tally includes the completed Worlds Play-In and represents 8.67% of the champion roster. Despite Fearless Draft encouraging teams to prepare more options across a series, a small group of champions remains outside professional teams’ selections.

Which champions missed out?

The list comprises Akshan, Briar, Evelynn, Fiddlesticks, Karthus, Katarina, Kayle, Master Yi, Nilah, Nunu & Willump, Rengar, Shaco, Singed, Teemo and Zilean.

Twitch narrowly avoided joining them after MVK Esports ’ Harky selected the champion in the final game of the Play-In against Karmine Corp .

Fearless Draft has not eliminated the gap

The proportion remains close to previous seasons. In 2025, 15 of 171 champions went unpicked, compared with 13 of 168 in 2024.

The figures underline a distinction between expanding champion pools within individual series and bringing overlooked champions into competitive play. Worlds’ remaining stages give teams another opportunity to change that record.
