Karmine Corp sweep MVK to secure first Worlds Swiss Stage appearance
Karmine Corp claimed the final place in the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage with a 3–0 victory over MVK Esports in the Play-In qualifying final.
The European team repeated its upper-bracket sweep of MVK, finishing the two meetings with a combined 6–0 game record. KC advanced through Play-Ins without losing a series, while MVK’s campaign ended one series short of the main stage.
KC opened with a 13–2 victory in 28:28. Caliste finished 6/1/1 on Zeri, while kyeahoo ’s Cassiopeia posted 4/1/2 against Chika’s Akali. KC conceded only two towers and finished with an approximately 11,400-gold advantage.
Game 2 produced an even larger economic gap. Yike ’s Qiyana recorded 9/2/2, leading KC’s kill total as they defeated MVK 17–4 in 27:26. Caliste remained deathless on Kai’Sa, and KC ended the game approximately 15,600 gold ahead.
MVK’s Malphite jungle selection did not change the direction of the series, leaving the Vietnamese team facing elimination after two games.
MVK’s final draft cannot stop the sweep
MVK changed approach again in Game 3, fielding Yone, Aatrox, Locke, Twitch and Camille. The composition produced a more active opening, including Kratos solo-killing Canna , but KC ultimately established another decisive lead.
Caliste finished 9/1/3 on Ezreal, while kyeahoo ’s Viktor went 4/0/11. KC completed the sweep with a 25–12 victory in 26:51, bringing their combined in-game time across the series to 82 minutes and 45 seconds.
kyeahoo was named Player of the Series. His qualification-final performance helped KC secure the organization’s first Worlds Swiss Stage appearance after its earlier five-game opening win over Cloud9 and two sweeps of MVK.
For MVK, elimination followed two victories over FURIA and two defeats against KC. Their success against the Brazilian representatives carried them to the final qualifying match, but they could not take a game from the European side.
