South Korea and Chinese Taipei advanced to the League of Legends gold-medal match at the 2026 Asian Games after sweeping their respective semifinals on October 1.
Chinese Taipei defeated Vietnam 2:0 before South Korea continued their perfect tournament run with a 2:0 victory over Saudi Arabia .
Vietnam entered the semifinals after going undefeated in Group A and made a strong start to the opening game.
The Vietnamese side built an advantage, but Chinese Taipei found the crucial turnaround and eventually closed Game 1 after 27 minutes.
Chinese Taipei controlled the second game more convincingly and completed the 2:0 sweep to secure their second consecutive Asian Games League of Legends final appearance.
Vietnam finish the competition with a bronze medal.
South Korea followed with another commanding sweep.
The defending champions outscored Saudi Arabia 44–15 in kills across the two games while taking 18 towers to Saudi Arabia 's one.
Gumayusi led South Korea with a combined 15/3/12 KDA, while Zeka finished 10/1/15 and Canyon recorded 12/4/10.
The victory keeps South Korea undefeated through the tournament and sets up a rematch with Chinese Taipei , who they already defeated during the group stage.
South Korea and Chinese Taipei will meet in the best-of-five gold-medal match on October 2.
