Deep Cross Gaming have become the first team eliminated from MSI 2026 after losing 0-3 to Team Liquid in the Play-In lower bracket semifinal.
The victory keeps Team Liquid ’s MSI campaign alive, while the LCP representatives exit the tournament.
Team Liquid controlled the series from start to finish. They took the opening game confidently before continuing to dictate the pace in Games 2 and 3.
Deep Cross Gaming struggled to match Team Liquid ’s teamfighting and map control throughout the match, allowing the LCS side to complete a clean 3-0 sweep and advance further in the lower bracket.
Yeon was named MVP of the series after delivering a strong performance across all three games. He finished with average stats of 4.6 kills, 2.7 deaths and 11.0 assists, along with 69.9% kill participation and 23.3K average damage.
The Team Liquid AD carry dealt the most damage of any player in the series and played a key role in securing the sweep.
The MSI 2026 Play-In Stage will continue on June 30, with Team Liquid facing Karmine Corp for a place in the Play-In grand final.
MSI 2026 Play-In Stage runs from June 28 to July 1. Four teams compete in a double-elimination bracket, with only one team advancing to the Bracket Stage. All matches are played as best-of-five series using Fearless Draft.
