T1 Start MSI 2026 With Clean Sweep Over Team Liquid
T1 opened their MSI 2026 campaign with a 3-0 victory over Team Liquid in the first match of the Play-In Stage.
The win gives T1 a strong start in the tournament and moves them forward in the upper bracket.
Despite the clean scoreline, Team Liquid challenged T1 throughout the series. In Game 1, the LCS side showed a clear game plan early, but Keria ’s support Camille helped T1 take control and secure a 25-12 win.
Game 2 was closer, with Team Liquid holding control for long periods. However, T1 turned the game around through key teamfights and completed the comeback with a 22-16 victory.
The final game started poorly for Team Liquid after a failed level-one play left both their jungler and mid laner dead. T1 used that early advantage to control the pace and closed out the series with a 14-11 win.
Peyz was named MVP of the series after delivering strong performances across all three games. He finished with average stats of 7.0 kills, 3.7 deaths and 5.8 assists, along with 71.6% kill participation and 16.1K average damage.
The MSI 2026 Play-In Stage runs from June 28 to July 1. Four teams compete in a double-elimination bracket, with only one team advancing to the Bracket Stage. All matches are played as best-of-five series using Fearless Draft.
