LYON Advance to MSI 2026 After Sweeping Cloud9 in LCS Spring
LYON have qualified for the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational after defeating Cloud9 3-0 in the upper bracket final of LCS 2026 Spring.
The victory secured LYON a place in the grand final and made them the first team from the region to qualify for MSI 2026. Cloud9 dropped to the lower bracket, where they will continue competing for the final MSI slot.
LYON opened the series with a close 19-16 win in Game 1 after 43 minutes. They then took full control in Game 2, earning a dominant 20-6 victory in 35 minutes.
The team completed the sweep in Game 3 with a 21-9 win after 29 minutes, closing out the series and booking their spot in the grand final.
Berserker was named the standout player of the series. He finished with average stats of 7.6 kills, 1.1 deaths and 6.1 assists, leading LYON through teamfights and helping the team secure qualification for MSI 2026.
On June 13, Team Liquid will face Cloud9 in the LCS 2026 Spring lower bracket final. The winner will claim the region’s second MSI 2026 slot and advance to the grand final.
LCS 2026 Spring runs from April 4 to June 14. The top two teams qualify for the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational, while the champion also secures a spot at the Esports World Cup 2026.
