IG vs TES, JDG vs EDG in Demacia Cup 2025 Quarterfinals

Anyone's Legend and Top Esports received direct entry to the playoff stage due to their participation in the Worlds 2025. Meanwhile, six other teams — Invictus Gaming , Bilibili Gaming , JD Gaming , Weibo Gaming , EDward Gaming , and Ninjas in Pyjamas — secured automatic spots in the second group stage thanks to their strong performances in the summer split of the LPL .

Group Stage

Stage 1

The tournament is divided into two groups, each consisting of four teams. The competition follows a Single Round Robin format, where each participant plays against every other team. All matches are conducted in a best-of-3 format. The top two teams from each group advance to the second stage.

At the end of the group stage, the group leaders were Oh My God and LNG Esports with 3-0 records, while LGD Gaming and Team WE secured second places with 2-1 results.

Stage 2

In the second stage, participants are divided into two groups, each featuring five teams. The competition follows a Single Round Robin format, where each team plays one match against every other team in their group. Matches are conducted in a best-of-3 format. At the end of this stage, the top three teams from each group advance to the playoff stage.

Following the second stage, six teams continue their battle in the tournament's next phase. In Group A, EDward Gaming took first place with a 4-0 record. IG progressed to the next round with a 3-1 result, and LGD Gaming advanced with a 2-2 record.

In Group B, LNG claimed first place, finishing the stage with a 3-1 record. JDG and OMG shared the second and third positions, both with a 2-2 result.

Knockout Stage

The final part of the tournament follows a Single Elimination format, meaning a team is eliminated after their first loss. All matches from this stage onward are played in a best-of-5 format.

Starting with the semifinals, teams are allowed to communicate with coaches during the match. It is worth noting a special rule for decisive games: if a best-of-3 series reaches the third game, or a best-of-5 series reaches the fifth, these decisive games are played in blind-pick mode, without champion bans.
