Rumors: Gumayusi May Join Hanwha Life Esports

Lee " Gumayusi " Min-hyeon is reportedly close to joining Hanwha Life Esports, according to Sheep Esports.

The former ADC of  T1  has received a substantial offer from  Hanwha Life Esports  and may replace Park "Viper" Do-hyeon in the starting lineup for the 2026 season. This potential transfer is part of a significant wave of changes in the ADC position in the LCK and marks Gumayusi 's first move outside the T1 system.

Gumayusi has played for T1 since late 2020, winning three consecutive World Championships with the team in 2023, 2024, and 2025. He was a key component of the ZOFGK roster and played alongside Ryu "Keria" Min-seok for four years. In 2025, he was temporarily replaced by Shin "Smash" Keum-jae, but later returned to the main lineup and became the MVP of the Worlds 2025 finals. His departure concludes one of the most stable and successful bot lane duos in T1 's history.

A New Chapter for Hanwha Life Esports

If the deal goes through, it will be Hanwha Life Esports 's second high-profile acquisition from T1 in two years—after signing Choi "Zeus" Woo-je in 2024. The organization then traded him for Choi "Doran" Hyun-joon, ending the ZOFGK roster. Now, Hanwha Life Esports could strengthen with another world champion and once again shift the balance of power in the league. The team has already won the LCK Championship in 2024 and the LCK Cup in 2025.

Before the offseason began, head coach Choi "DanDy" In-gyu, coach Shin "Shine" Dong-wook, and analyst Kim "Bibra" Hyun-sik left the organization. Hanwha Life Esports thanked them for their work and wished them success in their future careers. Changes in the coaching staff highlight the scale of the overhaul the club plans to implement for the 2026 season.

Hanwha Life Esports is also showing interest in Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu, who could replace the retired Han "Peanut" Wang-ho. Thus, the club aims to revamp two crucial positions—jungle and bot lane. The rest of the roster is yet to be confirmed, but these transfers could set the tone for the entire offseason campaign.
