Milkyway Returns to FunPlus Phoenix

FunPlus Phoenix have confirmed the return of Cai "Milkyway" Jijun to their main roster, where he will once again be the team's starting jungler.

Milkyway previously played for FunPlus Phoenix during 2024 and the early part of 2025. Under his leadership, the team secured a 5th–6th place finish in the LPL 2024 Spring Split, advanced to the playoffs in the summer season, and competed in the Demacia Cup. Milkyway's last result with the team was a 15th place finish in the LPL 2025 Spring Split, after which he left the starting lineup and FunPlus Phoenix began a restructuring process.

The FunPlus Phoenix roster underwent significant changes: the team brought in bot laner JiaQi , supports Jwei and Hanghang , as well as newcomer iyy . However, after several inconsistent performances in the LPL Summer, the management decided to bring back the experienced Milkyway to the roster, entrusting him with the jungler role in the starting lineup. We will see how this lineup performs in the coming weeks.
