Gen.G Esports First to Qualify for Worlds 2025

On July 23, during Rounds 3–5 of the LCK 2025 Season, Gen.G Esports defeated Hanwha Life Esports with a score of 2:0, becoming the first team to qualify for Worlds 2025. The victory also secured them a spot in the playoffs and leadership in the Legend group. The match marked the 27th consecutive win for Chovy 's lineup.

In the first map, Gen.G confidently executed their advantages, dominating in macro play. The second game was more evenly contested — the teams were neck and neck until the late mid-game, but a crucial mistake by Hanwha Life allowed Gen.G to seize the initiative and close out the series.
