Perkz Retires from Professional Play

In a post on his social media page X, Croatian esports player Luka " Perkz " Perković announced his retirement from his professional playing career. He thanked his fans for their years of support and emphasized that a new chapter is beginning for him—he will soon become a father and is therefore taking a break from the competitive scene.

Perkz 's achievements:

8-time LEC champion;
Winner of the Mid-Season Invitational 2019;
2021 LCS champion with Cloud9 ;
Finalist at Worlds 2019 with G2 Esports .

Although the recent seasons have not been as stellar, Perkz 's contribution to the development of European LoL remains undeniable. He became the first player in history to win both the European and North American leagues and is still the only mid-laner from Europe to have reached such high peaks on the international stage.

Perković also noted that he is not saying goodbye to esports forever—in the future, he plans to return as a coach or Mentor . For now, it's a well-deserved rest and a new chapter in life.
