League of Legends - Most Popular Esports Discipline on YouTube in Q1 2025

At the start of the new season, League of Legends topped the ranking of the most popular esports games on YouTube, garnering over 52 million hours of views—more than any other title in the first quarter of 2025.

According to Esports Charts, from January to march 2025, LoL amassed 52.56 million viewed hours on YouTube. This allowed the game to confidently surpass Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Counter-Strike. The highest viewer peak on the platform occurred during the LCK Cup tournament, where more than 1.09 million concurrent viewers were recorded.

A significant factor in this was the updated competition format: most leagues transitioned to a three-split system, with new international tournaments and a restructured first stage of the season. These transformations sparked high viewer interest, especially in Asia.

On the Twitch platform, the situation was different—League of Legends ranked second, trailing behind Counter-Strike, which achieved record numbers during IEM Katowice.
