Worlds 2011 Champion Shushei Passes Away

Former Polish professional League of Legends player Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak passed away from cancer at the age of 36. His sister announced his death on Facebook.

Shushei played as a mid-laner and became the winner of the first LoL World Championship with Fnatic . He was also recognized as the MVP at Worlds 2011. At different times, he also represented teams DragonBorns and Pulse Esports. Throughout his career, he earned $17,736 in prize money.

After retiring from the pro scene, Shushei briefly engaged in streaming before stepping away from public activities. Among champions, he particularly favored Gragas, whom he called his favorite character.
