Q: You defeated HLE to advance to the finals. How does Peyz, who has been constantly breaking records, feel right now?
Peyz : I didn't feel great in the first game today, but after coming back from a 1-3 deficit to secure our spot in the finals, I'm very happy.
Q: In the recent media interview, coach KIM mentioned that GEN did a lot of preparation for the first game's BP. What aspects did you prepare for, and what didn't go as expected?
Peyz : I can't remember the first game's BP clearly. More than the BP, I think we didn't handle the lane swaps well. We were already halfway to losing the game during the lane swaps, which is very regrettable. From this game, we learned that there are teams that think about lane swaps this way, and we gained a lot of knowledge.
Q: In the second game, you chose Kalista and survived until the end in the mid-lane teamfight, taking down the opponents. That moment was very impressive. During that play, you said "not bad" in the voice chat. Can you explain that play in detail?
Peyz : First of all, I was ahead of the timeline in terms of growth. I took the tower gold alone, while the opponents split the top lane tower gold among three or four players. Kalista-Renata is a combo that I can dominate with, and it also counters the opponent's composition very well. In the mid-lane fight, because Kalista hasn't been seen much recently, she appears more often in the LPL but rarely in the LCK. Although I was very nervous while jumping around, the result was great.
Q: You saved your Flash until the end and then wiped out the opponents, which caused a lot of buzz. Do you have a lot of trust in Lehends?
Peyz : I definitely trusted Lehends, which is why I played that way, but I think it's also something that should be expected.
Q: Recently, the synergy between you and Lehends has been a hot topic, and both of you are in great form. Lehends picked Blitzcrank again in the fourth game and kept hooking the opponents. How do you see your current form, Lehends' form, and the state of your bot lane duo?
Peyz : Both Lehends and I are in good form. More than our mechanics, our communication and understanding of lane swaps are excellent. This is what matters the most right now.
Q: You were selected as the first-team AD and advanced to the finals. Many people say that you are currently the strongest AD in the LCK, and even the world's number one AD. What do you think about this?
Peyz : I'm very grateful that people think this way, but I believe there are still players who perform better than I do. However, this is a compliment that I'm playing very well right now, and I will gratefully accept everyone's praise.
Q: Which AD players' games have you been watching recently?
Peyz : Recently, instead of focusing on laning, I've been watching the overall game management. When I watch games, I focus more on the team's rotations rather than individual AD or support players.
Q: This is your fourth consecutive finals appearance. How is it different from your first finals appearance?
Peyz : In our first finals appearance, we lost in the playoffs and had to climb back from the losers' bracket, so it was very meaningful. This time, although our performance wasn't perfect, we advanced to the finals with a 3-0 and 3-1, so it felt relatively easy. This is different from the previous tough path to the finals.
Q: GEN's biggest goal is definitely the World Championship. What is your determination for the World Championship?
Peyz : There will be many strong teams participating in the World Championship. Our team must play well and analyze the patch thoroughly. Being well-prepared is the most important.
Q: Please say something to a player you might face at the World Championship, such as Ruler, JackeyLove, or Elk.
Peyz : If I face Elk, it will feel twice as good to defeat an outstanding player. I feel that Elk is performing very well right now, and I want to face him again.
