——Q&A (Questions from the Korean media group attending the press conference)

Q: Most championship skins use the team colors as the main theme. Why did the T1 championship skins choose white instead of black?

A: We offered the players a variety of colors and asked them what they wanted. Their opinion was that white and gold best reflected the championship, so these two colors were chosen as the base. On top of this, we added two colors that reflect the source of power in League of Legends—blue and red.

Q: We are curious about the players' initial opinions on the skin design after winning the championship, and how it was adjusted later?

A: We reflected almost all of the players' requirements; I think we achieved about 90%. All the requests and ideas proposed at the first meeting were incorporated.

To explain the collaboration process in detail, the first 1V1 interviews were conducted after winning the championship. Around December, a month later, the initial concept was confirmed, and we held another meeting. At that time, Keria was still deciding which champion to choose. We proposed several initial trial plans. Around early January, we discussed the recall animation ideas face-to-face with T1 and explained the progress of the skin design. Around May and June, we showed T1 the nearly complete skins through video meetings to confirm if they were what they wanted in terms of feel and appearance.

Q: What elements did each player insist on including?

A: Most of what the players wanted was reflected in the recall animations. Zeus wanted to visually showcase lightning well. Therefore, Jayce includes a lot of lightning compared to other skins. As mentioned earlier, Oner had specific requests for a martial artist's uniform and tiger claw scars.

Gumayusi requested the inclusion of Duni, and we were happy to reflect this element. Since Duni is very cute, we decided to feature Duni in more places than initially planned. Faker thought the four stars commemorating the four championships were important, while Keria chose Lux.

Q: With the Bard skin, we can see Keria's love for Lux. This is the first time another champion has appeared in a World Championship skin. Was this a difficult decision for you before the players expressed their strong desire?

A: Of course, it was very challenging and involved intense discussions. We believe it is important to meet the players' requirements as much as possible when designing championship skins, so we exceptionally adopted this idea. The players worked very hard to win the championship, and to reflect their requests, we discussed how to achieve it specifically.

The reason Lux appears in a hologram form is because it is clear in terms of gameplay and visibility. Is Lux the real hero in the Rift? To avoid this confusion, we decided to use the hologram version.

Oner's Lee Sin also wanted to incorporate Bengi's Lee Sin skin. Although this is the second appearance of Lee Sin as the same champion, from the design team's perspective, we wanted to present Lee Sin and Bard skins in a consistent manner.

Q: It is reported that the championship skins also incorporate elements of winning in Korea. How was this achieved specifically?

A: We closely collaborated with the players on this part, listening to their opinions as much as possible and reflecting them in the skins. During the World Championship, we visited Korea, saw T1's outstanding performance, and gained a lot of inspiration from Korean aesthetics.

From the skins, to commemorate the moment of winning in Korea, the players also said that moment was very special, so the theme includes many elements that showcase the feeling of ascending like gods.

Q: Gumayusi mentioned in his personal stream that the concepts proposed by Faker are hard to understand. Are the concepts proposed by Faker really difficult?

A: We don't think they are hard to understand. On the contrary, we feel sorry for asking too much from Faker. Because we were also working on the Hall of Fame skins at the same time, we made a lot of requests to him all at once.

Therefore, during one meeting, Faker said that his brain had run out of creativity. Going through such a creative process, it's understandable.

So we need to provide sufficient guidance to the players, guiding them to the most important elements they think of. It's not just about the players giving their opinions and us refining them.

Q: Can you introduce the Easter eggs hidden in the skins?

A: I would like to introduce Keria's Bard skin. Lux appears in the recall effect, but that's not all. Lux's face is also hidden in other scenes, such as when using the W skill to drink soup, her face is hidden in the bowl.

Q: Which player had difficulties in the skin creation process?

A: Every player has their own personality and characteristics, making the design process very interesting. It was a bit difficult because Keria didn't immediately decide which champion to choose. Other than that, Keria was very passionate about the skin. During the collaborative exploration, when the design team said, "Bard can also be designed to be very interesting and beautiful," he showed an interested expression.

There is another story related to Keria. When evaluating each skin one by one in January, Keria was the first and Oner was the last. But Keria said he also wanted to participate in the discussion of Oner's skin, his personality is really special.

Q: Which player is most satisfied with their designed skin?

A: The players all said they were very satisfied and liked it, but expressed it differently. If we had to choose, Gumayusi really liked his skin after seeing Duni, and Keria was always happy during meetings and gave us good suggestions.

Q: The championship skins include many concepts of overcoming adversity and hardships. What did the players say about this and how do they feel?

A: When communicating with each player, we could hear their individual stories of overcoming adversity and hardships and their recovery process. Although each story is different, it's a theme shared by everyone, so we wanted to incorporate this into the skins. However, during the design process, we wanted to separately present each player's journey. So we customized and designed the recall effects for each player.

Additionally, through meetings and interviews, we could see that the team cooperation of T1 is particularly good. We could feel that the players have a really good relationship and support each other. Most importantly, they all call Faker "big brother" and always say "our brother wants this." We tried to incorporate the players' warm hearts into the original artwork and skin design.
