As the bottom team in both this year's Winter and Spring Splits, KC underwent major roster changes before the start of the Summer Split. Top laner Cabochard, jungler Bo, and mid laner Saken were replaced by former T1/DK top laner Canna, former 100T jungler Closer, and the promotion of the second team's mid laner Vladi.
This new roster achieved a 4-5 record in the Summer Split regular season. Although they still didn't have a winning record, it was an improvement over the 2-7 records in the Spring and Winter Splits. After qualifying for the playoffs for the first time this year, KC was swept by G2 in the first round of the winners' bracket and dropped to the losers' bracket. However, they adjusted their form and consecutively defeated MDK and SK to reach the top four.

Besides setting a new team record, KC also earned a chance to compete for a spot in the 2024 LEC Annual Finals.

G2 Esports , Fnatic , Team BDS , MDK, and SK have already secured their spots in the LEC Annual Finals. The last spot will be decided between KC and GX. If KC defeats BDS in the next round, they will edge out GX based on their top-three finish in the Summer Split to advance to the 2024 LEC Annual Finals. Otherwise, GX will secure the spot based on their points advantage.
Note: The LEC Annual Finals is the ultimate showdown between the top six teams after the three splits. These six teams come from the Winter and Spring Split champions, the top three teams from the Summer Split, and the highest-ranked teams on the points leaderboard (if a team qualifies through multiple criteria, the extra spot automatically goes to the next highest-ranked team on the points leaderboard). The top three teams in the Annual Finals will qualify for the 2024 World Championship (as an exception, the Summer Split champion will automatically receive the lowest seed for the World Championship and can improve their seed through the Annual Finals).
