KT's jungler Pyosik expressed his joy of being on the same team as Deft and congratulated him on reaching 1000 total games in the LCK and LPL.

On the 19th, KT swept DRX 2-0 in the 2024 LCK Summer Split regular season, ending the first round with a record of 5 wins and 4 losses, ranking sixth.

In the match, Pyosik used Maokai and Sejuani to help the team achieve a five-game winning streak. In the post-match interview, Pyosik smiled and said: “I am very happy to achieve a five-game winning streak today, and even happier to win cleanly with a 2-0.”

After suffering a shocking four-game losing streak at the start of the season, KT quickly adjusted their form and achieved a win rate of over 50% in the first round with five consecutive wins. Pyosik commented: “At the beginning of the season, there were indeed some issues with our coordination. If these problems can be fixed in time, I believe we are still a strong team. It's a pity that we couldn't do this at the start of the season, but fortunately, our coordination is gradually improving now.”

Reflecting further on the four-game losing streak, he explained: “There were significant differences in our early game strategies, but after coordination and communication, our performance has improved. Although we started to gel during the Spring Split, there were still different voices in the team at the beginning of the Summer Split. When asked if this was due to version changes, he said: “It's not because of the version, but because we didn't fully adapt during the Spring Split. Since the Summer Split is related to the upcoming World Championship, we have all remained vigilant and worked hard to overcome the issues.”

With this victory, KT's ADC Deft also reached his 1000th appearance in the LCK and LPL combined. Pyosik expressed his deep congratulations and affection for his teammate, with whom he had won the World Championship: “I knew he was on his way to the 1000-game record, and it is an honor to be on the same team as him when he reaches this milestone.”

Confident KT's next opponent is FOX. Although KT defeated them 2-0 in last week's match, FOX defeated T1 in the subsequent game, showcasing their strength. Regarding this, Pyosik said: “Facing FOX again, I think their recent form is as good as ours, and we must be well-prepared. Having watched their games, I feel they make very few mistakes and perform very well.”

Finally, Pyosik thanked his fans for their support: “The experience of the first round was like a roller coaster, but I will strive to perform well in the second round and show everyone a good performance.”
