Korb3n says Falcons exit is bad sign for Dota 2 scene

Team Spirit manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov has described Team Falcons ' departure from Dota 2 as a negative development for the professional scene.

Falcons officially exited the discipline on September 6 after releasing their entire roster.

Korb3n concerned by loss of major organization

Speaking on stream, Korb3n said there was nothing positive about losing a large organization from professional Dota 2.

However, he cautioned that it remains difficult to judge how damaging Falcons' departure will ultimately be.

He suggested that the limited free-agent market may also have contributed to the organization's decision.

With more high-level players available, Falcons could theoretically have rebuilt rather than closing the division entirely.

Falcons leave after lengthy roster run

Falcons' lineup had remained together for 1,030 days.

During that period, the roster earned more than $7.3 million in tournament prize money and established itself among the most successful teams in the scene.

Their final major achievement came at The International 2026.

The organization's departure leaves another major question over Dota's post-TI ecosystem as several other leading teams simultaneously rebuild their rosters.

For now, Falcons have not announced plans to return to Dota 2 with another lineup.
