LGD Gaming part ways with Dota 2 roster after contracts expire

LGD Gaming are no longer under contract with the Dota 2 roster that represented the organization during the latest competitive season.

All player contracts expired following The International 2026, leaving the organization without an active lineup.

Contracts expired on August 24

Team manager Barbara "Babi" Borniya clarified that the roster changes were not the result of players being removed by the organization.

According to Babi, every member of the team had a contract running only until August 24.

Once those agreements reached their scheduled expiration date, the players officially became free from their contracts with LGD Gaming .

She emphasized that nobody had been kicked from the roster and that the situation was simply the result of all agreements ending at the same time.

The development leaves LGD Gaming facing uncertainty heading into the next competitive season, with the organization yet to announce whether any members of the previous roster will return under new contracts.
