Yatoro on PGL Wallachia S3: “I hope this tournament will be easy for us”

Carry of Team Spirit Ilya " Yatoro " Mulyarchuk gave an interview to tournament operator PGL. In the conversation, he shared his thoughts on the team's form, preparation for championships, and his main rivals on the scene. The interview video was published on PGL's YouTube channel.

Yatoro shared his expectations for PGL Wallachia Season 3. The Ukrainian player was pleased with the duration of the tournament.

Yes, we are very happy to be at the tournament. Playing tournament after tournament is very good for us because we are in good shape, I think. I hope it will be an easy tournament for us, but maybe something will go wrong. Also, I like that it's not too long - about 11 days, I think. I like the format and schedule.

The Team Spirit carry explained how he and the team manage to stay at the top for so long.

I think we just adapt to the patches. We understand that even small hero changes in patches can have big consequences. When some heroes leave the meta, others, which haven't been touched at all, become stronger. We understand this simple rule of Dota, so we either adapt or die.

Yatoro also commented on the changes in the meta at the last tournament due to the new patch and how he and his team manage to adapt quickly.

I think it's about collective thinking. We work together to find solutions on how to beat different teams. Our coach also plays a huge role - he doesn't just look at the current meta, he analyzes all the heroes in Dota. He has huge experience - maybe 10 or even 15 years. He remembers every meta and knows when each hero was nerfed. So he has a great vision of Dota, and we try to help him with that.

The Team Spirit player answered the question, "Will there be new strategies here at Wallachia?"

I hope we will see different playstyles and strategies. I really like it when teams from other regions bring their own meta and their own ideas. So I hope we will see some differences between Eu , China , and Asia.

Yatoro commented on the new patch. The player was pleased with the positive changes in the game.

Yes, the waterways are actually fun. Dota really needed some changes on the map because it remained unchanged for two and a half years. I really like the new direction - it adds more dynamics to Dota. You can just float down the river, like in "The Hobbit," you know? I also like that they released the patch after the event, not in the middle of it.

After two rounds of the group stage, Team Spirit confidently leads with a score of 2:0. In the next match, the team will play against Team Falcons , and this match could guarantee them an early entry into the playoffs of PGL Wallachia Season 3.
