Collapse revealed details of the DDOS attack on Team Spirit

Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov from Team Spirit said that the DDOS attack consisted of a participant spamming the team with group and chat invites which made Dota 2 crash.

This two-time world champion elucidated further on this in his Telegram channel.

“Challenging unlock with the conclusion of this infinite fighting championship, but as always we will complete it on the 4th. The DDOS attack was some dude sending 100 party and chat invites every second so Dota just crashed from the sheer number of requests”

Collapse added that the Team Spirit players began receiving countless invites per second during the grand final which led to some complications. Audience members witnessed problem solving efforts but after some time it was decided by the organizers to pause the match due to constant technical issues.

Miposhka suggested earlier that Team Spirit indeed has the victory stolen from them because of the DDOS attack in the final match.
