The shocking price of Dota 2 accounts with 16,000 MMR has been revealed

Accounts with a 16,000 MMR rating in Dota 2 can range between $3,000 to $10,000 while those with a MMR rating of up to 14,000 are much more affordable ranging from approximately $600 to $1000.

This was shared in a twitch stream by Mark “mangekyou” Kharlamov, a professional player of Dota 2 who is ranked amongst the upper echelon of the European Dota 2 ladder.

“How much does a 16,000 MMR account cost? Well, it depends on who you buy it from. If the person needs money, like most peple do bargain ranges from $3,000 to $10,000, roughly. But that’s specifically for 16,000 MMR, where the prices are high because you will be in the top 10 of Europe. If you’re buying an account with 12K, 13K, or even 14K MMR, I’m sure it costs around $600 to $1,000”

According to him Dota 2 is full of skilled players causing the high prices in the market. He further elaborates saying that prices are negotiable and he thinks that it is something closer to $2,000.

Still, he remarked that bringing an account to so high of a rank is painstaking and challenging and that is why account prices are not reduced easily. Complex tasks are time consuming, so it's no wonder that they come with a price.

There was an instances where Valve banned a player having MMR rating of 19000 in Dota 2.
