Team Spirit shared how to gain 7,000 MMR in just a few months

Edwards "sikle" Lerman has spilled the beans on the way Mark " mangekyou " Kharlamov managed to gain an astonishing 7,000 MMR in under a year and dominate the leaderboards on Dota 2.

He shared this on his Telegram channel.

"' mangekyou ' from the ‘SR team’ has topped the leaderboard as the best player in the world today. In the span of one year his win rate has increased from 53 to percent 58 percent and his over 7000 MMR rating went up as well. Care to do the same? Then allow me to break down how he achieved this step by step format to you all.

Endless amounts of games were played. Throughout the entire year he has constantly been breaking his own record clocking 2,459 matches in one year - the calculated weekly average comes down to at least 7 public games and not having any other short breaks to recuperate. He noted that he shared a similar frequency of playing with Ilya ' Yatoro ' Mulyarchuk.

Even while playing all other roles he decided to gamble by zeroing in on a very selective hero pool. Out of the 2303 solo matches 2,303 Broodmother comprised for 554 (24%).

Once in a while he would play duo party (around 136 times) and had a winrate of 70% which compromised 5.5% of the total matches which were played during the full span of one year.

He leveraged Bloodthorn and vilest Arse builds at the earliest opportunity which to his delight reached a 71% bounty win rate.

Sikle compared mangekyou ’s showing skill with the special abilities stating that the offlane from Shopify Rebellion managed to reach nearly any mmr within a short time frame thanks to the usage of strong pushes, small hero pool and large amount of gaming time. Furthermore the analyst noted the consequences side of this phenomenon: because of mangekyou ’s use in Dota 2 push.

"Do you see the trend? His hero pool is populated by fast-push heroes that counter enemy drafts and constantly apply pressure. Five of the seven heroes he plays most are summoners, three out of nine have BKB piercing disables and all of them are able to dominate their lanes while farming the enemy jungle. Timber disappeared from his pool at the beginning of the year while Lycan was spotted later on when he noticed that the best strategy was to use Midas and alpha wolves. Once again - the more he climbed in rank the wider his hero pool was, with meta patch heroes Beastmaster, Lycan, and Doom being the exceptions (along with his husk Broodmother and mid Keeper of the Light)."

Unfortunately, it was interesting to note that the Shopify Rebellion offlaner recently dethroned Yatoro to become the world’s best Dota 2 player.
