Nix named the real reason for the problems with Nightfall in BetBoom Team
Alexander “Nix” Levin stated that BetBoom Team carry Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko had great potential in Dota 2, but the cyber athlete was broken by the community and his teammates.
The content maker shared a relevant opinion in a private twitch broadcast.
“Why can't Nightfall become the Epileptic who wasn't afraid? Because he was broken by the community and his own teammates. But that's my opinion, it's not popular, but I'm sure of it. Egor was a distinctive genius and became just a cheap copycat and that's it. That's actually the problem with most people.”
Alexander “Nix” Levin also stated that he has encountered a similar situation, when a player stops believing in his own ideas under the pressure of the community, favoring generally accepted approaches, which leads to defeats and failures. Streamer believes that only players who continue to develop their own ideas rather than copying successful cyber athletes achieve success.
“I was like that in Dota. At some point you stop believing in your ideas, you get pushed through by society. It's not just about Dota, it's about anything. You get squeezed under the pressure of society, you start doing some conventional things and you stop succeeding. Yegor just stopped believing in himself, that's all. He started listening to others more than he listened to himself. You'd laugh as much at 33 trying to copy Collapse and playing Magnus. But he's 33 only because he doesn't do that and sits there and keeps playing his Beastmaster/Visage, and he's good at it.”
As a reminder, Alexander “Nix” Levin previously named the Team Falcons lineup player the streamer holds responsible for the loss by Tundra Esports .
