Monte officially announced the lineup for 2025
Monte has officially unveiled its 2025 roster, making key changes to the core and returning to English as the language of communication. Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen and Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas have been promoted to the main roster from the Monte Gen Academy.
These two will replace Polish players Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek and Kamil “KEi” Pietkun, completing the team's experiment with communication in Polish. In addition, Ivan “AiyvaN” Semenets, who also came from the academy, became the head coach, replacing Piotr “nawrot” Navrotsky.
Gizmy, who is only 20 years old, was given the role of captain and will lead the team instead of Olek “hades” Miskiewicz . This decision should return the team to a more traditional game structure. Interestingly, Gizmy and ryu already had experience playing for the main roster during ESL Pro League Season 19, when Monte reached the playoffs after the departure of Alexander “br0” Breaux and Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev.

These changes were the logical conclusion of a difficult season in 2024. Monte Gen Academy has achieved successes, including winning the HEROIC x Thunderpick Path To The Pros tournament and reaching the C-Tier playoffs several times. However, the limited number of invitations to major competitions hindered the team's development.

The return to English should improve team synergy and create a more favorable environment for development. Everyone is looking forward to seeing how the revamped Monte squad will perform on the international stage, especially under the leadership of young captain Gizmy.
