NiKo has been selected as one of HLTV's Top 20 Players of the Year for eight consecutive years.

A few days ago, a CS player expressed his opinion on the social platform about G2 team NiKo being selected into HLTV's Top 20 Players of the Year since 2016 :

"It's incredible that NiKo first appeared in the Top 20 in 2016. Back then he was competing with legends in the game, and he's still in the top five in 2024. Last year, s1mple , device , NiKo , and Magisk all appeared in the Top 20. This year, NiKo will be the only player to have been in the Top 20 since 2016."

This year, NiKo won three championships with G2: IEM Dallas, BLAST Premier Autumn Finals, and BLAST Premier World Finals. In these three championship events, the MVP winner was his teammate m0NESY .

NiKo received 6 EVP nominations in 2024 ( IEM Chengdu, IEM Dallas, E-Sports World Cup 2024, BLAST Autumn Finals, BLAST World Finals, and the recently concluded Shanghai Major).

He personally scored an average rating of 1.17 in 2024. He had 0.74 kills per round on 183 maps, and the proportion of 1+ rating reached 69.4%.

Judging from the comprehensive data, it is only a matter of time before NiKo is selected into the 2024 HLTV Top 20 Player of the Year list. By then, he will be selected into the Top 20 for 9 consecutive years.
