sAw as OG eliminate Heroic from Showdown: "So many problems we need to fix"
OG have upset and eliminated Heroic from BLAST Premier Fall Showdown after securing a 2-0 win in their opening series (13-10 Anubis, 13-11 Nuke).
Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard and Christian "Buzz" Andersen's additions have breathed new life into an OG roster that has struggled to contest top opposition in the past year and spiraled down the rankings, dropping from around the top 10 to a fringe top 30-40 team.
The Danish captain's move from mouz NXT is showing early promise in turning that around, however, with the team making it through the Europe open qualifier for IEM Rio, and now casting Heroic out of the Showdown.

The defeat adds to a downtrodden period for the Norwegian organization, which has struggled with visa issues for Abdul "degster" Gasanov and is on a streak of poor results with a Play-in elimination at IEM Cologne and group stage exit at YaLLa Compass before the break.
"It was a rough match, and to be honest, we just didn't wake up for the first map, the first half, especially," a dejected Eetu "sAw" Saha said in a post-match interview. "It went without us being there fully, mentally, people weren't really able to find solutions. Almost everything we did was out of our control, and they were able to punish it.
"It's super disappointing to go out so fast, especially since Cologne, how it went, and that gave us some extra time to practice and now we are not able to show any of that, going out so fast. It's a sad situation. There are so many problems, like by the looks of it coming into these officials with what we need to fix.
Sure there are some close maps, but then you look at the rounds and it shouldn't even be this close. We should be able to capitalize on way more situations. Congrats to OG on the win, but there is no way that any team should be able to punish us with these kinds of plays, so often at least."
It wasn't a pretty series for Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski's men as they arrived on the server looking out of sorts, with a lack of coordination, teamplay, and awareness of gaps on display for much of the series, but particularly so in a disastrous 2-10 T side on Anubis.
That blowout proved too large a deficit to overcome despite a recovery effort in the second half, and an equally poor start on Nuke, down 1-8, was again not one that Heroic could pull back from as they fell just short of forcing overtime in the second half.
