According to the report of foreign media HLTV, BLAST has announced that the first CS Major event of the new version in 2025 will be held in the United States. This means that the top-level CS event Major will return to North America after a seven-year absence.

The 2025 BLAST Summer Major will be held in June at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, located on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. It is a multi-purpose arena with more than 15,000 seats. According to BLAST's estimation, Austin will "benefit from the $40 million economic investment brought by this event, and there will be 50,000 CS players attending the event by purchasing tickets to come to the venue."

BLAST CEO Robbie Douek said: "We are very excited to bring the BLAST.tv Major to Austin, Texas. The vibrant atmosphere of this city, the advanced Moody Center and the good record of hosting top-level events can provide a perfect environment for this unforgettable event."

The Austin Major will be the first Major in North America since the 2018 Boston Major. Before the 2018 Boston Major, there were also the 2016 MLG Columbus Major and the 2017 ELEAGUE Atlanta Major in North America.

At the same time, this will also be the second Major hosted by BLAST. They hosted the Paris Major last year. BLAST Commissioner Andrew Haworth said in an interview that the Paris Major was a very successful event for BLAST. Considering that the partner mechanism in 2025 will no longer exist, the company is willing to operate the Major in the new ecosystem.
