
Xizt is stepping down from his role as head coach of Heroic
Richard Landström, known as Xizt, has concluded his coaching tenure of over two years with Heroic.
Today, the Heroic team announced that head coach Xizt will step down from his coaching role and depart from the team after the BLAST Global Finals. Xizt signed a two-year contract renewal with Heroic back in January this year.
In a statement, Xizt mentioned that this decision was mutually agreed upon, considering it to be in the best interest of both parties. Post his departure from Heroic, Xizt intends to explore new opportunities.
Joining Heroic in October 2021, Xizt contributed to the team's victories, including championships at the 2022 BLAST Fall Finals and the 2023 BLAST Spring Finals.
Reflecting on his time at Heroic, Xizt expressed a mix of joy and pride. He mentioned, 'Looking back on my time at Heroic, I'm filled with joy and pride. We created amazing moments, from being booed at every arena to eventually getting the crowd's cheers and appreciation. Our style was unique, dynamic, and fun. That was a big part of why I joined Heroic, feeling like I contributed to one of the most successful teams of this CS era.'
