Aurora qualify for Bucharest playoffs as The MongolZ and Nemiga survive elimination
Aurora secured the third playoff place at PGL Masters Bucharest after edging Liquid in three maps. Elsewhere in the fourth Swiss round, The MongolZ eliminated Legacy and Nemiga ended DENDELE’s run.
Aurora 2–1 Liquid
Aurora won 13–11 on Anubis, lost 11–13 on Inferno, then closed the series 13–10 on Cache.
Jimpphat was the central figure, recording 52 kills, a 1.28 rating and +4.96% round swing across the series.
His patient 1v2 on Anubis helped Aurora through the opening map, before Liquid mounted an impressive response on Inferno. Trailing 4–10, Liquid won nine of the final ten rounds to force a decider.
Liquid also held a 10–8 lead on Cache, but Jimpphat delivered consecutive impactful rounds around B, including another 1v2. Aurora won the final five rounds to secure qualification.
The result completed Aurora’s recovery from an opening defeat against The MongolZ. Liquid fell to 2–2, leaving one final opportunity to reach the playoffs.
The MongolZ 2–0 Legacy
The MongolZ kept their campaign alive with identical 13–8 victories on Mirage and Inferno.
BLitz led the way, posting a 1.74 rating on Mirage and 1.47 on Inferno.
The MongolZ carried a 7–5 CT lead into Mirage’s second half before taking control on the attack. Inferno required a recovery from 7–8, with six consecutive rounds completing the sweep.
They advanced to the deciding 2–2 pool, while Legacy exited at 1–3.
Nemiga 2–0 DENDELE
Nemiga conceded just nine rounds across the series, winning 13–3 on Nuke and 13–6 on Ancient.
KaiR0N- opened Nuke with a remarkable 16–0 kill-death record after eight rounds, setting the tone for a dominant performance. Robo ultimately led the series with 35 kills and a 1.57 rating.
DENDELE won both pistol rounds on Ancient but could not turn those opportunities into a sustained challenge.
Nemiga joined The MongolZ and Liquid at 2–2. DENDELE were eliminated one round after their victory over G2.
