ENCE announce bankruptcy decision after 13 years in Counter-Strike
ENCE have announced that the board of ENCE eSports Oy has decided to file for bankruptcy, bringing the Finnish organisation’s 13-year Counter-Strike operation to an end.
The announcement thanked the organisation’s players, employees, partners and supporters. Details concerning the players’ next steps were not immediately established.
From Major finalists to international contenders
ENCE became one of Counter-Strike’s most recognisable organisations through their all-Finnish lineup, captained by Aleksib, which reached the IEM Katowice 2019 Major final.
The organisation subsequently achieved further success with an international roster led by Snappi. Across its history, ENCE won three events carrying HLTV MVP awards: two with the Finnish lineup in 2019 and another with the international team in 2023.
After selling its core to Falcons in December 2023, ENCE underwent several rebuilds.
Current team’s future remains unresolved
ENCE promoted its Finnish academy lineup in April 2026, with allu joining as head coach in June. The team stood 103rd in the global Valve Regional Standings when the bankruptcy decision was announced.
The roster comprised teme, millert, Schwarz, joeski and HENU.
Allu described himself as heartbroken and said he would address his own situation and the team’s future once the immediate aftermath had settled.
