Monte rebuild around sdy, mantuu and CYPHER following Luminosity transfers

Monte have revealed a rebuilt Counter-Strike 2 roster led by returning Ukrainian player Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev.

The announcement follows the organization's decision to transfer its previous core to Luminosity.

sdy returns to familiar organization

sdy previously represented Monte from January 2023 until February 2024, helping the team reach the playoffs at the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

He most recently competed for Passion UA on loan from ENCE , where he had previously served as in-game leader.

His return reunites him with an organization where he enjoyed some of his most notable international results.

International lineup takes shape

Monte 's new roster will also feature Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski as the primary AWPer.

The remaining rifling positions will be occupied by Cai "CYPHER" Watson, Alexander "br0" Bro and Ukrainian prospect Vladyslav "St0m4k" Lykhoshva.

South African coach Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen will oversee the roster.

Early competitive test

The new lineup has already appeared in the Stake Ranked open qualifier, where it was eliminated by Aurora Young Blud .

Monte will now attempt to rebuild its position in the competitive rankings following the departure of its previous core.

The changes also come after a public dispute involving former player Bymas , who accused the organization of outstanding payments. Monte disputed the amount he claimed was owed.
