HeavyGod says G2 must understand why level dropped at EPL

Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko says G2 need to review why their level fell so sharply after being eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 24.

G2 exited the Swiss stage with a 1–3 record following defeats to Natus Vincere , 1win and PARIVISION .

Their only victory came against ShindeN .

Playoff streak comes to an end

G2 had reached the playoffs at six notable events during 2026 before their run ended in Katowice.

HeavyGod said both he and the team performed below expectations and acknowledged that G2 did not deserve to advance based on their level at the tournament.

He said the roster now needs to return to practice, identify what went wrong and understand why its level was so low.

R1nkle integration still ongoing

HeavyGod also discussed the process of integrating Artem " R1nkle " Moroz into G2's system.

He said there are numerous elements of the team's structure and playing style that require time to learn and could not provide a timetable for when the AWPer will be fully comfortable.

G2 will now have additional practice time before their next event.
