Mouz end Spirit's 32-series Swiss winning streak to reach EPL playoffs

Mouz 2:0 Team Spirit

Mouz became the first team to qualify for the ESL Pro League Season 24 playoffs after sweeping Team Spirit 2–0 and ending one of the longest Swiss-stage winning runs in Counter-Strike.

Spirit had won 32 consecutive Swiss group-stage series and had gone 3–0 in ten straight Swiss-format events.

Their previous Swiss loss came 668 days earlier.

Spirit struggle throughout series

Mouz controlled both Dust2 and Mirage.

Danil "donk" Kryshkovets endured his worst-rated Dust2 performance and the seventh-worst map of his career, while Boris "magixx" Vorobiev recorded the lowest-rated map of his career.

Spirit attempted to recover from a 6–12 deficit on Mirage, but Mouz eventually closed the map before the comeback could be completed.

The victory also gave Mouz revenge for their defeat to Spirit in the BLAST Open Porto grand final and secured a direct place in the ESL Pro League playoffs.
