luchov says confidence remains key as 9z attempt to rediscover form

Luciano "luchov" Herrera says confidence has a major influence on his aggressive playing style as 9z attempt to rediscover the form that established him among 2026's leading rookie candidates.

The 9z rifler enjoyed a strong first seven months of the year, posting a 1.20 rating and earning EVP recognition at PGL Astana and XSE Pro League.

His numbers declined to a 0.95 rating from August onward, but luchov returned to form during 9z 's 2–0 victory over TyLoo at ESL Pro League Season 24.

Strong return against TyLoo

luchov surpassed a 2.00 rating during the series against TyLoo .

He acknowledged that his playstyle depends heavily on confidence but said he needs to develop ways to remain useful to his teammates even when he does not feel at his best individually.

The Argentine rifler remains in contention for Rookie of the Year recognition as 9z continue their ESL Pro League campaign in Katowice.
