Luminosity sweep B8 to reach Stake Ranked Episode 4 upper semifinal

B8 0:2 Luminosity

Luminosity defeated B8 2:0 in their opening match at Stake Ranked Episode 4 to advance into the upper-bracket semifinals.

The victory also delivered a significant boost to Luminosity's Valve Regional Standings position as the race for Major invitations continues.

Luminosity close two competitive maps

B8 remained within striking distance throughout the series but were unable to convert either map into a victory.

Luminosity took the opening map before closing another competitive second map to complete the sweep without requiring a decider.

The result was especially valuable in VRS terms.

HLTV's match calculation had Luminosity gaining 42 points and moving four places from No. 19 to No. 15, while B8 lost 13 points and slipped from No. 11 to No. 12.

Luminosity advance to the upper-bracket semifinals, while B8 drop into the lower bracket of the $100,000 event.
