G2 survived a three-map battle against 9z to continue their lower-bracket run at FISSURE Playground 3, recovering from an opening-map defeat to win Ancient and Inferno.

9z struck first on Dust II, where the South American squad established a narrow 7:5 advantage during the opening half.

G2 kept the map competitive after switching sides, but 9z held on through the closing rounds to secure a 13:11 victory and move within one map of advancing.

G2 responded immediately on Ancient.

The European lineup produced a much stronger first half to take an 8:4 lead before maintaining control after the break. 9z managed another four rounds, but G2 closed the map 13:8 to force the series onto Inferno.

G2 complete the comeback

G2 carried their momentum into the deciding map and built a commanding 9:3 advantage during the first half.

9z refused to disappear and mounted a strong comeback attempt after switching sides, winning seven rounds as G2 struggled to close the series.

The early deficit ultimately proved too large to overcome.

G2 found the four rounds they needed to secure Inferno 13:10, completing the 2:1 comeback and eliminating 9z from FISSURE Playground 3.

The victory kept G2's playoff hopes alive and sent them into the Group A lower-bracket final against 5star, who had produced one of the tournament's biggest surprise runs.
