dako sets new Counter-Strike 2 regulation kill record with 40 kills

Daulet "dako" Ondassynov has set a new Counter-Strike 2 regulation kill record after recording 40 kills in a single 24-round map.

The 22-year-old Kazakhstani rifler achieved the mark while representing Game Point against Total Domination at BRO Cyber League Season 1.

His performance surpassed both the previous online record and donk's earlier LAN benchmark.

dako reaches 40 kills on Mirage

dako entered the second half of Mirage already sitting on 23 kills and only six deaths.

Game Point and Total Domination had reached halftime tied 6:6.

The Kazakh rifler continued producing kills throughout the second half as Game Point built a 12:10 lead.

At that point, dako had reached 38 kills and had an opportunity to close the match while tying the existing online record.

He lost the decisive duel in a 2v1, however, and the round continued.

Rather than ending there, the additional rounds gave him an opportunity to go even further.

dako eventually finished regulation with 40 kills, establishing a new CS2 record.

poiii and donk records surpassed

The previous overall regulation record belonged to Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren.

poiii recorded 39 kills in an online match against Zero Tenacity in September 2024.

That performance itself had surpassed a record set only one week earlier by Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, who recorded 38 kills during a LAN match against Wildcard.

dako has now passed both marks.

His 40-kill performance also came on LAN, meaning he simultaneously surpassed donk's previous LAN record and poiii's overall regulation record.

The achievement gives dako one of the most remarkable single-map statistical performances recorded since the transition to Counter-Strike 2.
