MAJ3R Retires as Player and Leaves aurora CS2 Roster
aurora have announced that Engin “ MAJ3R ” Küpeli has stepped down from the team’s Counter-Strike 2 roster after deciding to end his professional playing career.
The Turkish veteran joined aurora in April 2025 and had been competing at a high level since 2006. He has now chosen to step away from professional play to spend more time with his family.
Although MAJ3R has left the active roster, he will remain part of aurora in a different role within the organization.
During his long career, MAJ3R achieved several notable results, including a second-place finish at World Electronic Sports Games 2017, a title at CCT Season 1 Global Finals, second place at Esports World Cup 2025, victory at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, and a runner-up finish at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2.
MAJ3R ’s departure is another major change for aurora , as coach Sezgin “Fabre” Kalaycı had also recently left the lineup. aurora are scheduled to begin their run at the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 Closed Qualifier on July 21.
