ESL Announces IEM Brazil 2027
ESL has officially announced that one of the Intel Extreme Masters tournaments in 2027 will take place in Brazil.
IEM Brazil 2027 is scheduled to run from May 3 to 9, with teams arriving on May 1. ESL will reveal the host city at a later date.

May 1 — Team arrivals
May 2 — Media day
May 3-9 — Tournament matches
May 10 — Team departures
The tournament will feature 16 teams. The group stage will include two groups of eight teams, both played in a double-elimination format. The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.
The playoff stage will be played in front of a live arena audience. Quarterfinals will take place on Friday, semifinals on Saturday, and the third-place match and grand final on suNday .
Most teams will qualify through the Valve Regional Standings. Eleven teams will be invited through the global VRS ranking, while one slot will go to the best team from North America and another to the best team from South America. Two teams will qualify through the Global Closed Qualifier, while one more will come from the Americas Closed Qualifier.
Invitations will be based on the February 2027 VRS ranking, while tournament seeding will use the April ranking update.
IEM Brazil 2027 will feature a total prize pool of $1 million, split between team prize money and club rewards. The champion will receive $120,000 in prize money and $180,000 in club rewards.
